E53 - Hook aftermarket DVD player to car speakers
Guys, i posted the below in the "Mobile Electronics Section", but that section isnt very active, so going to try here, a specific E53 section.
I have an aftermarket DVD player that transmitts the audio to wireless (IR) headphones, but would like it so the DVD audio also plays through the car speakers. I have got it playing through the AV1 channel on the TV\Nav headset in the front of the car, but the quality is poor. How can I get the sound playing in a quality similar to the car radio/mutli Disc CD player? ![]() |

TV input for AV is mono, probably the reason for poor quality.
you might try the regular AUX input (pre-wired harness curled behind the monitor in US spec'd cars, not sure about UK) but you need an extra piece of aftermarket hardware to be able to select AUX input while TV is playing video - there are TV-in-motion modules for sale on german ebay that will help you with alternate audio selection with your video... without that piece of hardware, when you select the TV, the audio comes from TV, with that piece - when you select TV, you have a choice to select radio, CD, tape (if car has tape deck) or AUX |

Hook it up with FM transmitter and set one of your radio station for that .( using aftermarket antenna adapter )
