A win for the 4.6is

So, one of my good friends just purchased an audi a6 4.2. flashed ECU, K&N air filter, ect.
Ever since the purchase he would always go on about how much better the VW wrapped in leather was than my 02 4.6is with 133k miles. Coming back from dinner on the freeway temptation got the best of me and three honks later he's a good car length behind me. My 12 year old X with 133,000 miles on it hurt his reputation fairly badly. It truly is the best.

P.S. this is the only 3rd time I've opened the throttle in a year and 1 month of ownership as an 18 year old and respect what what my X is and what it can do.

TX5, you didnt tell the OP about how you chose your user name.

OP, if you didnt know, TerminatorX5 picked that name because he would "terminate" attempts to pass him in his 4.6is by stepping on the go-pedal.

So, first post(er) nails it!

haha. I'm just so afraid of driving my X hard because I have 133,000 miles on the original transmission(drain and refill at 120k). but my engine has had the chain guides and all gaskets done plus cooling system, alternator, throttle body, diff/X-case fluid change, DSC module, ect. I love the car to pieces as I commute from Reno NV to Sacramento CA almost every weekend.

Hey fellow young x5 owner.

And definitley dont be afraid to push it. AT LEAST get it to redline once a day. Its good for it.

My 4.4 has actaully kicked alot of ass, i lost track of what cars already.

Faster off line than e90 328i and 330ix
Faster than 328i rolling start but slightly
Almost dead even but slight pulling away from the 330ix

Those i just like 2 of the 30 cars ive raced

Thanks guys! I'm just so frightened of the tranny crapping out on me if I push it hard. I do usually cruise on the freeway around 85-90mph if traffic permits.
