Add bluetooth to 01/2004 X5?
Looking to see if anyone in this build window has attempted grabbing the module, antenna and activating it with software. Drop me a note or post some of your journey. I hate having buttons I can't use, so I will get this working, but it'll take some digging and sorting out. A long list of mechanical nuances to deal with, but this will happen. I do not have NAV or DSP - just the standard CD/Radio unit. No trunk CD either. Cheers.

I don't think bluetooth was available as an option or has the ability to be retrofitted in pre-2003 models. There's a few bluetooth threads on here that go over the options available. We have a 2002 and ended up going with a Mediabridge.
--Oops, read your build date wrong. Yes, I'm confident that has been done and there should be at least a thread or two about it.---
