Add bluetooth to 01/2004 X5?
So, from my initial diggings, I seem to have a build in that magical window where the vehicle was prewired for bluetooth as a teaser, but not actually supplied with the module. It has option S640A - AUTOTELEFONVORBEREITUNG - Preparation f tel. installation universal. That kinda rolls off the tongue.
Looking to see if anyone in this build window has attempted grabbing the module, antenna and activating it with software. Drop me a note or post some of your journey. I hate having buttons I can't use, so I will get this working, but it'll take some digging and sorting out. A long list of mechanical nuances to deal with, but this will happen. I do not have NAV or DSP - just the standard CD/Radio unit. No trunk CD either. Cheers.
