DSC ABS Brake lights fixed...
I then started the vehicle and the lights were still on. I then figured I need to drive it a little to get wheels rotating so that the sensor can sense the wheel speed. Once I drove it down the street about 500 feet, the lights went out and the speedo works again. Hopefully my problem is fixed because the inspection is due soon and I don't need any lights showing up on my dashboard. As a side note: my check engine light did NOT come on nor did a Trans Fail Safe message appear. Another side note: I used the factory jack to raise my left rear and about 3 minutes into that, the self-leveling kicked in and the vehicle started moving. It stopped but luckily did not fall off the jack. I then quickly removed the self-leveling fuses from the rear compartment so that the vehicle wouldn't move again. I used my hydraulic jack to set it back correctly so that I could replace the sensor. Pretty scary when it moved; that shouldn't happen!!! 2001 BMW X5 4.4i 171,000 miles Last edited by NittanyX5; 04-01-2014 at 10:30 PM. |

About $146. I could have ordered it online from other aftermarket places for cheaper pricing but I just wanted to be sure about the part.
