x5 4.6is stepper motors

So after a year of climate control issues I finally figured out what the issue was. When I would turn the center dial on the vents to the 3 red dots for the heat to come on one of the stepper motors was bad and not allowing full air to flow through causing the module to overheat and flicker off and on. The question is how do I access these stepper motors as easily as possible?????
