Anyone tried to change the temperature buffer range?

To read the correct value?
We all know the temp gauge is buffered, so it sits at 12 o'clock between 75°C and 110°-ish C. Useless..
the Fanatics found a workaround to code the temp gauge with PA soft 1.4
Has anyone attempted this? I might look into it with FMugur one of these days. Would be interesting to actually see the needle moving correctly.

But for me the real-time temp display on high cluster works for that, and I cycle to it every time I drive (I monitor ktemp and battery voltage constantly).

I would personally keep the buffered analog gauge for relaxed driving and just turn on the high cluster temp display during the times I want actual values.

Yes, but the thing with this mod is, you don't have to cycle the OBD display.......

Why do you want this info constantly if you don't mind me asking? Just curious - I was a real time temperature addict when I knew my stats were bad but since I changed them and saw them working fine for the first few days I don't check any more, maybe once a month just for comfort but nothing more than that.

I find the process a bit long winded to do it everytime I drive.

Doru - yes, true, it would be more convenient for some that way.

mobilejo - Just getting a baseline of how the various monitored systems work for reference later, and maybe see a problem before it happens.

So far, ktemp variations have lead me to check under the hood a few times to catch a slightly leaking expansion tank and a slightly leaking radiator.

After doing it so often it takes only a few seconds so I guess it just became a habit lol.
