Talking Spring! Yay! P0455, yuck

So I finally get to start in on the to do list... and today I got the P0455, which I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) could be:

1. Loose or defective fuel cap (not)
2. EVAP canister broken, hose cracked, or disconnected
3. Purge or vent solenoid defective
4. Vacuum leak at engine.

The car behaved normally on the drive home, and no other codes coming up. I'm going to check the obvious bits... but where's the evap can?

I haven't gotten the knack of reaolem yet.. I'm cartarded

Wow, how are you guys still having winter south of me? My condolences. Couldn't find any bad hoses, so took the gas cap off, put it back on and cleared the code, since 'large' evap leaks apparently sometimes mean the cap is bad. Would the code come back right away if it's the purge valve or the canister?

I haven't been able to find a pic of where the purge valve or the canister are

Lol, il see if i can take a picture of where it is, maybe someone else will chime in before me tho. You might not be gettin complete combustion and vapors might be escaping (remeber folks the injectors atomize and spray the fuel) if you have excessive deposits or clogged injectors altering the spray pattern you may have fuel vapors escaping. People dont understand the importance of a good fuel system cleaner and lubricant especially with the low sulfur, ethanol blended fuels that lack the same lubricating properties and are more prone to causing the formation of deposits. Probably wont fix your issue, but I would run a bottle of P.i. (PM if interested) otherwise try to find Redline additive, techron is a great cleaner but lacks the lubricating properties of P.I. and redline.

Well, the injectors are kinda noisy, but I seem to get 700-800km per tank. I've put seafoam (*duck*) in it a few times... what's PI?
