Sunroof drain repair... again

So I know that there are other threads discussing sunroof drainage however after much searching and reading all of them lack one thing..... a description of how to perform a solution. I did find one fairly detailed post about how to fit the rear drains however my problem is with the front drains on the sunroof. I have severe leaking from behind dash and down the passenger side door trim/kick plate to the floor board. I could actually see it running down during a storm last night.
Someone must have correctly fixed this problem before and could hopefully write a description of how to do it properly. I purchased this car 3 days ago and other than this issue is in great shape.

Pop off the a pillar trim. You need to pull the little airbag logo piece out and then you can take out the screw. I bet the tubes are kinked

I have done that. And the tube was not clamped in place properly. However when I test the function of the drain by pouring water I'm the track it just pools up in the tray and goes no where. There were no visible kinks in the line.

Hmm. You made sure the line was straight into the metal chase? I was sure that's what it was.

I assume you checked the actual drains on the top of the sunroof? And the outlet down below under the car?

What happens if you pull out the drain line from the chase and try to pour water down the chase (in the a pillar, about dash height?). It will spare you from trying to pull the roof apart.

You can snake almost anything up the drain from below if the blockage is in the lower half. If the upper half I was only able to get a coat hanger into the drains.

I put the line back in the metal clips where it should have been. Someone has Def been in here before me. I'm not sure what you mean by the chase? I did check the bottom drain under the car and ran a length of wire up it until it stopped. Approx 24 inches of wire before it would push no more. I feel it's ceased movement was from the stability of the wire and not because it met a block. I could try a coat hanger up from the bottom maybe. I cannot access the drain hole in the sunroof tray on top. It seems the actual Trac covers up the opening. I was nervous to start disconnecting or removing anything to do with the actual sunroof track until I had proper instruction. I would hate to mess something up because of ignorance on this nice car. Thank you for your prompt responses. I'm actually in the car in the garage on my phone attempting to fix this issue.

update. then bed time

Ok. I was initially wrong. The tube was indeed crimped and I fixed it. Water ran out of tube on next test. I was elated. Then it started coming from the a pillar again ( I have been testing without reinstalling the a pillar trim piece. ) While peering in under the headliner I poured some more water. It did again run out of drain onto floor however it also came pouring out of the plastic tray area into the roof and out the a pillar. What is this additional leak?
Any ideas?
My thought now is that the hose has been kinked for some time causing a build up and freezing in winter. Perhaps this caused some sort of damage to the tray? I have seen posts on other listing about people using caulking or sealer of some sort. Anyone have any experience with that?
Thanks again.
