Smile Non OEM running boards

I just ordered aftermarket running boards for my truck. Im gonna try this one set off ebay and let everyone know how it fits. Fingers crossed because if it fits itll save us all big time. Il also arrange a group buy if it does so we can get em in bulk and everyone can get a smokin deal!

Looking forward to it man, you got the ones for 520 right? Should save us all at least 200 bucks if they fit properly.

Interested to know if the aftermarkets include the blind rivets you need when fitting the new arches as well.

Either way, subscribed!

Hey RB I asked the guy and he said everything is included to install and will fit just like OEM. Soon as I get em I'll install (or try at least) and post pictures of how they look and installation.

Hey man good to hear, I'm looking forward to your review when they come in! Many pics are appreciated as well.

Follow SlickGT1's DIY, you really don't need much but a straight pick, angled pick, and you can use your own rivet tool, his DIY is very thorough, follow it but just ignore the stuff about re-using wheel arches as you and I don't have them:

oh nice thanks, ya I'll go ahead and use that. I will post as many pictures as I can, hopefully this'll get everyone to soften a bit. If they work I'll arrange a group buy for anyone interested, the more we get the better the price. Nice thing is he said if they dont fit, just send them back for a full refund.

That's what I like to hear, I'm more interested in how well they fit, and if they are fitted just like the OE component, as well as the quality of plastic on the new arches, etc.

There are some really good knock offs made nowadays irregardless of what some people here believe, obviously these have been selling well at their price point (25% lower than OE) I just haven't seen a forum member yet with them to review.

But the end of the day if the look and fit is 95-98% of OE with the proper hardware and quality, etc, I'd rather save my costs elsewhere and put the $200-250 extra saved into my pocket.

Like I had mentioned on a previous thread, some of these knock offs are real quality (higher then OEM in some cases) My cousin got splitters for his 328 and they are well built and look stock. Also gotta remember alot of times these products are the same product from the same factory just without the markings (dont know if it applies to any of BMWs stuff but I know alot of the "knock off" chevy and dodge stuff we had in the old shop I worked at were the exact same things)

I said I'd buy a Mann filter, but not necessarily 5w-40! I could use 0w-20 in my wife's Rav4 though, or some 10w-30 in my Scag (Kawasaki FH500V 17 hp engine)

But I'm a man of my word and if you are helping the community by trying these out and it looks good because of your trial I'll make a purchase as I said I would. Amsoil prices really aren't as bad as they used to be, I was on your website last week.
