wanting to upgrade stereo..

Hi, I'm wanting to upgrade the stereo on my 2002 e53. I paid some idiot on CL to repair the pixel problem and he didn't do a good job (now he's ignoring me etc) and to be honest I don't want to deal with the radio anymore since it's missing the orange film for the backlight thanks to the idiot...
Anyway, I'm looking to upgrade to possibly the double din gps screens. I'm wondering if you guys had any suggestions? Not looking for something fancy. just something that works and will last. Mostly interested in something else just for the aux function. It'd be nice to keep steering wheel controls as well.
I saw on ebay there were some for about $400 but I'm not sure how good those would be.. It's my understanding that they're fairly easy to install just plug and play.. More input would be much appreciated.

I'm planning to get this one, http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-5-E39-BMW-X5-E53-M5-DVD-Navigation-System-Auto-radio-with-7-HD-touchcreen-/251049779695?pt=US_Video_In_Dash_Units_w_GPS&hash= item3a73bba1ef

I think its a Hualingan 4th gen if I'm correct. That seems to be the best choice IMO.

Check it out. There is more to choose from but after a lot of research I think the Hualingan 4th gen is the best choice unless you want to spend more $$ for a DYNAVIN, which I think looks a bit ugly.

As far as plug and play, it depends what setup you have. If your X has DSP radio then it might be a bit harder to install. Look around here and use the search feature. You might find some helpful info. Anyways, best of luck.
