Radiator hose help - part #
This hose blew this morning pulling into the office and i lost all of my fluid basically. When cranked you can see it spraying on the fan and the fan is blowing all over the engine. I have marked the hose in red best I could. Looks easy enough to replace once the engine is cooled down but I need to find it locally today to get her back on the road. Any help is appreciated.

ok, I found the part number with a basic google search. No one in town had one so I pulled intake cover and hose off and then cut the upper hose that had been worn down by the fan and pieced in a nother piece until I can get the whole assembly.

Glad it was that simple, every time I see you start a thread I get nervous, seeing how you've had so many problems lately. I'm curious as to how the fan could've rubbed the hose, my fan isn't even close to the hose. Depending on when all of your cooling system hoses were replaced. now may be a good time replace them. If you start replacing them one at a time, the new hoses will put pressure on the older hoses and pop them one at a time, ask me how I know...lol! Always something, isn't it...lol!

you're not the only one that gets nervous!!! I assume the shop did it when they did all the engine work. I just put a zip tie on one part of it to hold it away for good measure. I am going to replace the upper and the lower. I kept the hose to take to the shop and show them. I figure maybe he'll atlease order the assy's for me at cost.
Car is running very strong so far. Taking it easy to give it some break in time but already at 400 miles in a week.

Love the Imola X5's!
Glad you got it patched up. Please only use BMW (blue) coolant when you replace the hose (Mercedes/VW also is the same formulation if I remember correctly). It'll save you (more) grief down the road.
