Good bye - x5 sold!

It's a bittersweet day. Closest thing I could relate it to is owning a boat. Happiest I every was with my x5 was the day I bought it and the day I sold it (yesterday). While the ride will not compare to anything I just couldn't justify spending so much $ on the issues the car had. A tally of everything I fixed...
Control arm - $150
Window Regulator -$200 x2 = $400
Alternator - $600
Battery - $200
EHC module- $250
Sunroof rail -$~100
Sunroof glass -$700
And I was lucky I was able to do all of that myself.

It also needed a valve seal/guide repair because it was smoking on acceleration which would be around$5-6k.

In the end, I was just stressing out over the next thing that was going to break and how much it was going to cost.

I just got unlucky and got one of the bad ones...

What'd you get to replace it?

B M trouble U, fortunatly i bought mine used from an owner who babied the X kinda like me (i have a horrible habit of keeping maintenance on time, i get antsy if i even go 1 mile above the 5k mile OCI lol). if they havnt been well maintained (as with any vehicle) your gonna have issues. German cars seem to have a lot of problems though.
