welcome to the forum... other than posting in E53 forum, what do you drive/ride? is it an E53? and to which rubber thingie on where are you referring to? are you typing on a phone? because most people nowdays do not use "no" for "know", "u" for "you" and mix up "were" with "where"... If you are on the phone, snap a picture or two of the "rubber things", or where they are located, and post it - we might be able to help... and again - welcome to the forum

i see them now - they are the little round rubber dots about 10mm in diameter that cover the aluminum footplate, that goes alongside the car from rear wheel arch to the front arch...
glad you found them!!! |

BTW...everyonde doesn't have those rubber round thingies.
They are an accessory for e53 X5s sold in the USA. In some BMW markets, the alum footplates are standard (like Australia).Just an FYI as to why some may ask for more detail...not every BMW market is the same or come the same. See item #10 in diagram below...these "naps" are the black round thingies found in the alum side foot plates:
