Rain Sensing roof closure - I changed my opinion
A while ago, when I did some programming changes to the car, one of the change was to have the sunroof closed when the wipers engaged through rain sensor. I have stated at the time, that the function is rather stupid, as you would know that the rain is dripping onto your head when the roof is open... I have re-evaluated my opinion and have changed it: Couple days ago we had scattered storms in Northern VA, but mostly it was rather sunny. So, I have cracked the pano roof in tilted position, to vent the car as I was driving... Several miles down the road, I drove into rain and activated the wipers... few miles down the road and about 15 minutes later it hit me!!! I did not close the roof!!! when I looked up at the shade, it was closed... closed automatically, when the wipers kicked in... So, I would say, this function is useful, at least where it is closing the roof from the tilted position... http://www.xoutpost.com/884042-post5.html
