Smile Euro delivery : Trip planner (14 days)

Asking forum members who did euro deliver on their other vehicles (non-X) for feedback.

(sorry if this is duplicated thread - for euro delivery inquiry)

=========================================
Don't know when, but if I am fortunate/lucky, on my next purchase (4th one).

Who knows it might YOU ! So feel free to copy/modify to your own preference!

Euro delivery : Trip planner (14 days)

Fly into Munich BMW Welt factory, 45 minutes north of Munich, tour and pickup Back to Munich

Munich to Vienna (270 miles)
Vienna to Prague (206 miles)
Prague to Berlin (218 miles)
Berlin to Hamburg (179 miles)
Hamburg to Cologne (264 miles)
Cologne to Frankfurt (118 miles)
Frankfurt to Stuttgart (127 miles)

At this point, I/you have driven 1500 miles, and most of it on the Autobahn. If the 14 days are over, drive back to Munich from Stuttgart (118 miles), return the car, and catch the return flight from Munich.

Otherwise, head south into Switzerland and hit the major cities there starting with Zurich.

Option 2:
An alternative route is to drive thru southern Germany - Frankfurt, Stuttgart - then get to Zurich and drive thru the Alps. From there get to Vienna and Prague, and then back to Munich. This will be more beautiful but with little Autobahn driving.

Smile

hordmclain, try getting in touch with Maria Martine
she is BMW North America VIP ED Ordering & BMW Individual Specialist
the phone is: # 201 307 3887 [email protected]

[I have been currently dealing with her about doing EU Delivery on BMW M4 with INDIVIDUAL [special ordered ~ custom exterior & interior colors and trims] ..... anyway she is the person to talk with if you have any questions regarding either the EU delivery [ED] or especially if interested in the BMW INDIVIDUAL Program for US ......

PS: IMO on your question: I personally would just fly there on vacation, get rental car, get delivery and sign off your new car [+ get the temp. German delivery license plates in your bags] do some test drive only, but NOT drive it right away on the Autobahn with out first taking it slowly true the gears/ RPM's and so on for the braking period [that usualy was 'round 1k mi.] ..... my self I'm planing on Manual Trans. ED~Individual + changing the oil after the first 500~800 miles my self that's why not going to the speed limiter on new car right away .... but that's just me.

Congrats on the ride [btw what is it ?], keep us posted !

edit:
Btw you can do visit on the BMW museum + maybe go to the Nurgburgring to [you can rent car for the racetrack there to....]].

R u getting the 2014 or 2015 M4?

I heard the 2015 you can only put the down payment but the actual build order will be only finalized this coming Sept or Oct.

Nice! I've done ED plenty of times on 90% of our ordered cars. My personal opinion would be to go with option 2 and take a tour of southern Germany. Yes, it's fun to drive fast on the autobahn but it gets tiring and boring after the first 100 miles. Take the scenic route and enjoy the culture and new experiences

lhordmclain, still unclear exactly for when, because of the Individual program that will be available for the M4's [coupes] as early as the Spring 2015 - [for some reason the Four doors M3's can get it way earlier ...]

Some dealers where taking deposits even last year lol
