hey all thanks for all your inputs now i got alot to think about (decisions) I am seriuosly thinking of replacing the battery to start with. and getting a small battery charger a couple of amps and hooking it up under the hood. just don`t like going through the dc outlet to charge a battery, but thats just me.

Just remember if the small charger you get doesn't have a"float" or maintainer settting...you'll need to monitor the time you have it hooked up because a straight b-charger will keep ongoing and "over-charge" the battery which isn't good either.

And thanks to all that chimed in with the various units you have...at some point, I'll need to look at something else if I go with an AGM battery. My little cheap HB float charger only works on "wet" batteries.

The charger I posted (#24) does AGM too.

worse car I had in the shop doing bodywork back in the day . the customer left used diapers in the the trunk what a smell. especially after its in the paint booth to bake the paint .

I have one of these... Works awesome. Had it plugged into to my 540i for 3 months over the winter... No problem at all! It's what its for! Just my $0.02
