Another drivers window issue! 01 x5

Picked up an x5 for a steal and the only issue was that the drivers window was stuck down and there was no response from the switch. I opened the door panel and found that one of the clips for the window broke (go figure) and the window wedged itself. I ended up having to cut the regulator cable to release tension since it wouldn't budge. I replaced the regulator and motor along with the clips. I plugged it in to make sure everything was working and it wouldn't move. I tried using the key in the door to get some kind of movement and nothing. Everything works on the switch except the drivers window. I was able to use the power source at the switch and a ground to roll up and down the window so I know the motor is fine. I also went to the junk yard and tried another switch. The junkyard switch made a clicking sound however kind of like how a relay sounds. Checked also the fuses in the glove box.
What am I missing? To me it seems like the switch and I know it's possible that the junkyard one was faulty as well. Any other recommendations? Thanks!

Have voltmeter and know how to measure voltage on input and output to motor?
If you do - you will know what to do - if you don't know - take it to a pro to test.

Thanks. I started at the connection from the door harness in the jamb and found corrosion and had almost eaten through a few pins. They were very flimsy so I think I found the culprit.
