navtool or bmw video module

I am planning to get a backup camera installed and although it seems like the easiest path is to use navtool the price somehow went quite up:

BMW X5 2000-2006 NAVIGATION VIDEO INTERFACE

Should I go with an ebay bmw video module or you guys have a better solution?

If I go with a video module, any specifics I should look for? My understanding is that video module for widescreen it is what I am looking for.

go for hybrid - analogue/digital, even though it doesn't matter, it still will not work... or... will it? i do not know about Canada, but in the US the TV module stopped working as we went with a new, digital signal...

Yeah, the same thing here but although the tv won't work will the backup camera work with the video module? Isn't this the way you have it setup Term?

that is correct - i have the dedicated reverse camera input, and dedicated AV input/output via factory TV module. since I also have a tv-in-motion module hooked up, i can use the AV input for the screen from the smart phone to use for the Waze or whatnot - the problems i am having is with the phone... the HTC went belly up, so now i am working with LG - have to change the phone holder setup... lol...

I also removed the nav computer, for shits and giggles, and now the TV modules generated the menu screen - very interesting image... i will document this, not that anyone needs to repeat it, but for the sake of documenting this... the TV module switches day/night theme with the headlights - for some reason the nav computer does not have that function... and the TV module has 6 languages, while the nav computer has only 3... feels like the factory went one step forward with the nav computer and two steps back... lol... I will take pics and post them on another thread...
