Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Oh you have the 19's, this is why I didn't get those wheels.

Tire sizes absolutely blow as far as choices go for replacement, I think the best I was finding was maybe a Toyo? But there is probably a third of the choices that us guys with 20's have

19" tires generally cost more than comparable size and brand 18" or 20" tires
Something to think about in the long run.

Textbook way to pay top dollar and possibly end up with old stock tires.

That was what I was hoping for you would say.

The tire selection for your application, as stated in earlier posts, is limited due to the changing market on normal SUV tires sizing. It might make sense, LONG term, to upgrade the wheels to either the 5 spoke 4.8is wheel (Style STAR SPOKE 87) or the whole lot more spokes as found on the 4.8is wheels (style V-SPOKE 168). This would provide a larger selection of tires. All BMW wheel styles X X5-E53 | BmwStyleWheels.com

I had the same issue with my E39 528i, as it came with 15X7 wheels and the OE tire and replacements have been discontinued. The choice I have is tires from Korea or replacing all four wheels, as both Goodyear and Michelin discontinued their offerings for this application due to low demand.

This is what happens when X's become 10+ years old. Most owners of 10 year old vehicles are NOT looking for hipo performance tires, or parts to keep every feature/function operational as new. Most owners are trying to "band aid" or quick fix problems to keep running until expiration. You see them every day dragging down the hwy of short auto life -windows with plastic and tape, more body damage by neglect than if they were in a junkyard, last time washed was when it rained, etc.

We all are on this forum because we are unique owners who enjoy what we have and try to keep 'em alive. We fix what does not work, replace what wears out, some improve on electronics and style, and all of us wash, polish, and buff so that everyone we meet thinks that it is a new model
(Think: Clean = New).

Long Live the E53!

I've always liked hankook tires and they come in those 19" sizes. That's what's on my style 63's whenever I get around to finishing sanding them.

I just swapped the OEM Summer Continentals for All-Season Toyo Proxes STII on my 4.4i Sport with the 19' staggered setup. I've only done a couple of hundred miles, but my first impression is that they roll smoother, are less noisy and more comfy than the Contis - bear in mind, they don't look as wide. I also live in the NorthEast and have a dedicated winter setup.

The Toyos cost me $1,086 delivered (+$99 for fitment/alignment), so, not a bad deal.
