Arrow A/C Temp issue right not as cold as left

Hey guys...

So driving today with A/C on i noticed the right center vent is blowing lukewarm air... Leaned over put my hand on passenger side vent by door, same thing. Left center vent and drivers side vent by door is cold.

I've been told it may be the Final stage unit/resistor, but i did a search and looks like that is mainly for fan control issues (correct me if im wrong). All my functions on climate control panel seem to work fine, both settings set at 65F, i can control the fan from 1 to max. And seems like the direction controls work too (front window, face, and legs). My center vent dial is also set to 3 blue dots.

What can this be? I never had a chance to work on much of any a/c issues, previous cars was only a fan control board where fan got stuck on high and heat.

Thanks.

You are low on freon. Have it serviced and you most likely have a slow leak.

Do you have the auto setup? Is the passenger side set on the same temp as the driver side?

I just went through this. I searched & found several people that used the over the counter cans of R134A.

I got one and it solved the issue.

Nope, doesn't matter, your low on freon, do a search on the forum. Cool on left, warm on right, classic sign you are low.

Ok makes sense. The left aint even that cold either. I figured it was something with freon but wanted to be 100%.

Well now, I am experiencing this too. Gonna take it to shop to add that dye with freon. Can't have this problem in a BMW. That is just rude.

I think after 11 years without a leak there is room for some R134a. Mine only manifested when the temps went above 105. I put a 40.00 can of 134 in all good & it was 111 yesterday.

What an odd coincidence! Took my wife out to dinner and she asked why the AC wasn't blowing cold air. My side (drivers) was cold, but center right and far right vents not so much. Very rare for us to take the X5 out so this is the 1st time someone's noticed. It did finally start blowing cool air after about 15mins of driving.
Guess it's time for some freon.
