I have had a Bav sound system for many years. I kept the stock head unit. At the time they offered an upgrade package which included all new speakers, sub woofer and amp. Install directions were very complete. Sounds great to me though I am not an audio expert. You might want to contact them and ask them what they have. Customer tech service was great at that time.

The diference between a flac and an mp3 is like comparing a wav to an mp3. Flac and wav have the same info on them. Flack just saves on the bitrate when it's not needed. In theory they should both sound the same. Some disagree. But I think they do. Flack also supports tagging. Most people can't tell the diference though as said by x5snd.
