CV joint splines ??
this week, do I put copper grease on the CV joint splines after cleaning them with a wire brush or is it a certain type of oil ?? Thanks very much guys Last edited by jaima; 07-06-2014 at 04:52 PM. |

Use the grease that comes with the BMW CV Boot.
The BMW Boot is more expensive but lasts much longer than aftermarket boots. BTW, re-use the C-clip that is in the factory axle!

Hi,
it`s the splines at the the end of the drive shaft, to make it easier to slide back into place once the boot has been replaced. |

Antiseize or regular grease is fine. It makes the next removal easier.
