Well it's done and I'm pretty satisfied with the results. The image is actually quite good...even at night. More than enough illumination of objects up to around 20 feet behind the X with just the reverse lights. This is a quality camera. Compares very closely to the Honda camera. Yes, it is a bit boxy, but not too bad.
I actually like the angle they have positioned the camera at. I get a good view of objects just behind the bumper and up to around 30 feet behind the X as it has a very wide angle lense. Completely adequate for it's purpose. I was a bit surprised to see a slight left shift of the image on the display...maybe around 4 mm. It looks like a black strip only on the right side of the display. I thought this was a video adjustment problem until I saw the attached image in the DIY article here on X5world: http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...ticle&artid=24 where I noticed the same thing...so I guess it is inherent to all of them. Not a big deal really.
