rear pads advice (I've read threads)

4.8is. I've read some threads. I want best stopping power cold or warm, not hot track action here, just the fast family truckster. I don't care about dust, just bite. I'd rather not spend $ for OEM.
Suggestions? Axxis deluxe?

I've been running Akebono pads on all four wheels for 190,000 miles. First set lasted 139,000 miles and could have gone another 20,000 probably. Brembo rotors were also installed with the first set of pads and have no measurable wear at 190,000 miles either.

Initial bite with the Akebono pads is not as high, but the ultimate stopping power is the same as OEM. I really appreciate no dust though. FCP Groton was the source for the pads and rotors. I'm also running the same combination on the CEO's 3 series.

2002 X5 3.0 259,400 miles
2004 325i 115,000 miles
