the DVR has two video outs - one is at the front panel, that you can plug an RCA cable to, and the other one is part of the rear plugs that have all the camera wires... Since I have a factory TV module that has AV in, I have wired that rear video ouot to the TV in plug, and when i choose the AV input on the Television form the main menu on the car, i get the DVR picture...

I also thought about adding PDC cover in the center of the bumper so all PDC sensors and the camera line up. I tested the location but thought it was too low. However, it did look good there and very stealthy (looks like part of the PDC system). This location is something to consider if you don't mind lower camera angle.

Nice AV setup you have there TerminatorX5. I might add rear camera (not reverse) for my M3. Interesting to see what's going on from the rear as I'm passing other cars.

Junger that is an awesome idea to utilize the PDC spot, sorry it didn't work out man, I loved the stealth idea of it.

Here's an idea, if you don't really use it, why not delete the rear wiper, and integrate the camera into the grommet used to plug the hole on the rear window?

Hey Junger,

I like the idea in the middle of the license plate. Do you have the link to the camera that you bought on ebay? There are so many of them on ebay which hard to narrow down to what you got. I want something a little more reliable.

RB, That's another great idea. Camera will fit perfectly in that hole but only issue that might arise is that the rear window angles up so you might not be able to get the view of the ground/bumper area as much even with the camera tilted all the way down for "reverse" camera. But should work perfectly for "rear" camera.

Have you seen where BMW F12 rear camera is located? If not, check out the video below... Very 007ish... Very cool!

Hey Bugbyte,

Here is the link to the camera I purchased on EBAY. It has been working great. Camera has all metal housing unlike other cheap plastic rear view cameras you find on EBAY. Also, you have the option to select mirror or non-mirror and have guidelines or not from the camera if your head unit doesn't have these features.

damn you guys for having the radios (factory or aftermarket) with screens. I want a back-up camera badly but not sure how well the wireless back-up camera and add-on screens work.
oh well at least I seemed to have gotten my PDC sensors to work again
