PCV diesel vortex breather
My first post after much much reading - wow what a great place! I've just changed the engine breather valve on my 2004 E53 3.0d. I was expecting it to be a foam filter one, but it was a vortex one instead. I changed it anyway to a new vortex one. Question is: do the vortex type breather valves still need to be changed regularly like the foam ones, or are they pretty much ok to leave for ages?

jeez sounds like something from star trek.....sorry i cant help, but be good to know symptoms if the part you mention is past it?
