INPA E53 X5 I cannot find anything about ABS

Does INPA have ABS for the X5 E53 ??
I cannot see anything about ABS in INPA
I think I have a faulty ABS sensor at the
wheels but when I read the error codes there
is nothing about ABS or anywhere to select ABS
to run a fault/error test ?

I am using an Inpa usb to obd interface from
ebay, it does read/clear error codes etc but
as I said I cannot see anything about ABS
in Inpa, can anyone shed any light on this
query ?

Thanks very much

I'm not sure, but I don't think a faulty wheel speed sensor is going to throw a code. You'll need to measure voltage from each sensor separately.

Also, at least simply bump your original post instead of posting again.

Finally, a search on the forum would easily give you some things to attempt while waiting for a response.

Im drawing a blank on which menus you have to go thru, but i believe under DSC option, with the car running, there will be a graph you can pull up that shows individual wheel speed (same sensors abs use), you can use this to determine which one is bad very easily, all you do then start driving slowly, sensor not displaying any speed and the others are is the one.

I stand corrected. Good to know. But, so basically, if you just plug in and read the report, it won't show up, but if you drive it will?

I will do as suggested with the car driven slowly
with Inpa connected/running!

Thanks

Well im saying thats the way you determine the bad sensors, once you start moving in the car the working sensors will all give the same speed and a little bar graph indicating speed as well.

The sensor that doesnt show any speed is your bad one, its seperated into 4 sensor readouts and graph for each one, probably easiest thing ever!

last night I erased the errors dsc & steering angle sensor the
trifecta lights remained on the dash, today I went a short run to
the shop and all warning lights went out, as my MOT is due shortly
I will use the car daily until next week that way if the lights do
return I will have time to find/fix the problem.
Thank you for you`re help in this matter!

Regards
Jaima.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
You most likely need an ABS module repair/rebuild as the electronic connections are very delicate and become brittle over time, giving false trifecta readings.

It does give false wheel speed sensor errors as well, so you actually have to test the sensors with a diode setting on a multimeter at the module
