Keep valve cover gaskets in place?

So I'm about to tackle the valve cover gaskets on my M62 (again).
Should be easier this time now that I know you can remove the cabin air filter housing.

I know they should go in dry and use Ultra Gray on the half moons and timing chain cover joints.
Forum posts on the topic don't talk much about keeping the gasket in place.

Do people that've done this job use anything like Permatex High Tack to keep the gasket in place during assembly? How about any lubricant on the head side of the gasket to help it float??
