2 Axle Air Suspension Module

I'm having some SLS issues on my 2004 X5 I could really use some help with. Using INPA, I can raise all four corners, heights read correctly, bags don't leak.

Light on level indicator switch is off and dash displays "SLS Inactive" warning.

I'm convinced it's the air suspension control module (lives behind glovebox). I'm finding out that this part is pretty rare and nearly impossible to find used (new is over $700).

I read on another post that clearing and resetting heights using gt1 brought the module back to life.

My mechanical aptitude is average at best. Does my diagnosis sound legit? Any members in the San Jose area with gt1 access?

Thanks to all in advance.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Before you drop $700 on the new module (and you have to code it as well to your X), do not just guess at a diagnosis.

I would get a DIS/GT1 and perform a full scan of the module to see what faults are on there. Read them and post up here, we can help then. And yes, you are correct sometimes you need to perform a ride height calibration as well because you could be throwing a soft error for ride height deviation

Thanks for the info. Haven't had the time to invest in building a GT1/DIS machine as of yet. Will post results once I get it figured out.
