How do I remove the white road marking paint from car?

The front and rear wheel wells and rear bumper have the bloody white road marking paint splashed all over. Does anyone have any idea how to remove the road marking paint without damaging the car's paint? The road coontractors didn't let them dry before allowing traffic to pass over the freshly painted markings. I feel like sending them the bill of whatever I spend and my time! May be I should write to the city council if this turns out to be a complicated removal process.

Luckily that paint isn't very aggressive. I made the mistake of driving over freshly painted road lines and will never do it again.

I want to say I used Turtle Wax Bug & Tar remover. It was a liquid (non spray) and let it soak on the paint. Then it basically rubbed off and followed up with a clay bar, light finishing polish, then wax.

For the plastic I am not sure. I'd still try the Bug & Tar remover. It light just come off.

PROCEDURES FOR REMOVING ROAD PAINT FROM CARS

• As soon as possible after getting road stripe paint on any vehicle wash the vehicle at a pressure car wash. Doing this should loosen and remove most of the paint unless it has dried for more than a day.
• If the pressure car wash does not remove the road stripe paint, allow the water to dry and then spray the residue with WD-40 and allow the WD-40 to stay on the area for 1-2 hours and then rewash the vehicle. The WD-40 usually softens the road striping paint without hurting the vehicle finish. If there is a heavy concentration of paint the procedure can be repeated.
• For paint that has dried for several days or very heavy accumulations, apply a generous coating of petroleum jelly (vaseline) to the dried road striping paint. Allow it to stay on for 8 to 12 hours to soften the paint and then take the vehicle to a pressure car wash and wash it. This should remove most of the road striping paint. If necessary, repeat the procedure.

Wd40 is what I'd say too. It won't attack your clear coat

In one word: PATIENCE!

Go slow, use a plastic card (old credit card or gift card) and gently scrape the big patches. For small marks, use a rag and rub it.

I just did this for a customer of mine. First off your going to need to clay bar, meguiars has a fantastic kit. afterwards get a soft microfiber towel with a deep pile and using goo start srcubbing your going to want to take your time. afterwards use a high quality wash, I use griots waterless wash with griots wash towel. your going to have to rewax, also i would use Ultima tire and trim guard on your exterior trim.
