AVOID NTB FOR ALIGNMENTS

As the title states, avoid NTB, those guys suck. I know the guys really well at my local store and had the 5 year alignment package. I scheduled to have an alignment, balancing and rotation (I had just dont my tie rods so i needed to have it straightened out). I went in and waited about an hour, watched my truck sit on the rack and stay there untouched. Well they finally come out and say i need new hubcentrics etc etc etc and that they got the alignment done as best they could Well as im driving away i notice my wheel still has to be cranked way left, i call and ask them if they really did anything. after some back and fourth they admitted they werent able to because they were too busy bear in mind all the guys were just standing around thumbs in their butts. They also said they cant align the X5 because their machine doesnt support it which was hilarious because they had the same Snap-On alignment rack . turns out they got new management who is an idiot, im hoping this is just my experience because overall NTB isnt too bad. But I will say Pep Boys is king of alignments, most if not all have the Hunter Hawkeye machines which are the Bugattis of alignment racks. well that concludes my rant LOL

Never been to NTB but all chains have good and bad branch stores. I have Firestone lifetime alignment and had my share of bad experience from one store than have excellent experience from another. Same with Discount Tire stores. I just go back to the one that always does good work.

^ lucky. I too bought a Firestone lifetime alignment and all three local stores have been terrible. Never again I keep telling myself.

You guys need to find a place that has the capability and knowledge to deal with BMWs, Mercs, Audis, and the like. In Georgia there is Butler Tire, some definitely better than others, and then there is Weaver Brake and Tire. They both deal with our cars and know how to properly treat and handle them. Finding a location like that in your local area may be a challenge but it is definitely worth it.

Easy enough to do. But when you are doing suspension work in stages/swapping setups to find what you like, it gets expensive to pay 200 for an alignment each time.

I have done ~10 alignments on my E34 that I paid only $120 for lifetime. And 6 alignment done on my M3 that I paid only $140 for lifetime. Definitely got my money's worth in alignments.
