About time to go to stealer

Grrrrr so moving to chicagoland has hurt my x5. Since I moved I had coolant leaking issues, oil sludge, windshield washer reservoir cracked, ignition coils 1,2,3,5. after getting all that fixed plus new brakes I now have an issue where AC will blow cold for no more than 10 mins. then its warm or hot air. Been doing research not sure if that the FSR, Compressor, or just need refrigerant. If it needs refrigerant does that mean i may have had a leak. Never had it changed. Im thinking my shock are going to need replacement too. I can hear them when I go over speed bumps nice and slow. The car doesnt bounce though. not sure she pushing 97,125 miles.

Is the shock noise in the rear? Do you have air suspension? If it's in the rear and you DON'T have air suspension, it may just be your spring pads needing replacement. As the pads get deformed, the springs sit closer and closer to the subframe - have a look at that first.

If you think Chicago has been bad to the X, wait until you find yourself on some dark alley or street and the X craps out on you and members of the Latin Kings or Black P Stone Ranger is coming toward you and you're not packing. You are going to wish you were back at the Hampton.

Only a fool would be in bad Chicago 'hoods and not be packing (with CC permit).

I'm in a low crime area, Coppell TX., and ALWAYS have a Sig Sauer P227 (45 ACP double stack/3 clips) in an IWB holster, and a Charter Arms Undercover (38 spcl +P/4 speedloaders) in the X.

I keep PDX1 bonded/jacketed hollowpoints in both. 55 rounds, ready to go, if any criminals are feelin' froggy and jump!

Fixed it for you.

Unless you're former or current law enforcement there is more of a chance of seeing Elvis reincarnated than an ordinary citizen getting a CCW permit in Chicago. It's actually worse than Jersey (and our state is the same way, they tell have an application for a CCW but the state would never give you one). I had to LOL because its sad, and why I want to move South.

Times are changing.

Illinois is now a "shall issue" state, CC law passed last year.

Non-resident CC permit holders (me ) are allowed to carry a firearm in their vehicle too.

I always carry 4 ply paper towels, 10 gauge duct tape and a 40 mm tarp.
