01 Auto Headlamp Retrofit Issues - Please Help!

I am having difficulties in completing my retrofit and am therefore seeking help from someone willing to give me a hand. I have installed the RLS, LCM4 and switch. I have edited the settings in the lcm (to the best of my knowledge) to match my car using NCS Expert and coded VIN and mileage using P.A. Soft. I am at a roadblock as I cannot get my rain sensing wipers to operate and I thought at least the auto headlamp portion was working but at first they would come on for a short period of time, turn off and then a short while later come back on. Now I have noticed that the only way they will go off is if you shine a bright light directly on the sensor (normal daylight isn't enough). I have tried several different sensors to no avail. When looking at the readings in INPA, I get light lessor readings but all rain sensor readings show "255". I am stumped at this point and would greatly appreciate any help in getting this working. Thanks so much in advance to anyone willing to give me a hand!

sounds to me that your rls module is either not installed correctly or needs to be re calibrated or both.Did you install a new rls module and windshield or just the module?

I replaced the originally install AIC module and IR filtering mounting plate with the RLS and it's appropriate mounting. I accessed the RLS through INPA and clicked on the calibration tab. Is there some specific procedure to calibrate that I may be missing? I was unable to find any further information on specific calibration procedure.

When i updated my car to RLS module and newer LCM the inpa calibrate did the job for me. Maybe the prism needs to be re-installed are there any bubbles in the adhesive?other than that i would try another module..
I hope you have made the light module manipulation using ncsexpert to change the function to aktiv for the AUTOM_FAHRL_STEUERG parmeter.

There is one tiny bubble in the prism by the light sensing side so I assume it should not impact operation. I have tried 3 other RLS modules with not luck and the LCM is configured correctly. I am out of ideas!

Can you read your rls module in ncsexpert and change the
WISHERMOTOR_RSK to wert_01?

I am unable to access the RLS in NCS Expert as i believe that is due to the vehicle being an 01 and not in the VO but can't for the life of me figure out how to access or make change to that.

Some 01 X had the 20 pins connector in the engine bay in addition to the OBD II connector in the passenger compartment. Just OB II stuff can be access through the OBD II connector, but the 20 pins c onnector in the engine compartment is able to access everything.

You will need to get a 20 pins to OBD II connector.
