Next Up - Troubleshooting my PDC

So here's my next mini-project. Restoring the PDC to operation.

Here's what I've got. Under most circumstances as soon as I throw it in reverse I get a beeping sound and flashing PDC light by the gear shifter. I press the PDC button and it shuts up. This is getting a little old so it's time to fix it.

I've read about "listening" for a ticking to figure out which one is bad, but I don't hear any ticking at all. Is this to be done with the ignition in a certain position or with the car running?

BMW scanner 1.4 seems to be telling me it's the front right, but there are two front right ones really. There's front-front-right and front-right-right. Listening for an audible click would help, but I hear no clicking from any of them.

Me, too. I think I have a loose wire on one sending unit in the back [created when installing the trailer hitch] but I haven't noticed the 'clicking' to confirm or identify the bad unit.

Just ordered a couple PDC sensors from eBay in case I can pinpoint specific units that have gone bad, but I'm curious about your findings.

Wow. I am on my second E53 with PDC over ten years and ~150k miles across both. Nary a whisper from PDC.

Clicking test is good enough. If you put the key in position 2 then press the PDC button you activate your parking system and all the sensors front and rear should have the clicking sound. Those that don't are defective or a wiring problem. The flashing PDC button is because the error you have. The problem is that you have to have all the sensors working for the system to work otherwise just tells you to not rely on it.
I had a bad one in the back and one in the front and I had to replace them.

021- Converter, front right is the far right one closet to the corner.

023- Converter, front center right is the center right.

So my button is flashing too, so I went and did as you suggested, but when I did it seemed I heard a faint clicking noise through all of them.

I ran it in INPA and came up with this error:

Not sure what that means, so I ran it in DIS.
