Fixed P1093

Was getting a P1093 error code if you used a generic IBD II code reader or

E4/B1 Oxygen Sensor controller bank 2, deviation too great, deviation rich.

EC/B2 Triming, oxygen sensor controller, bank 2 deviation too great in rich range if you used specific BMW scanning software. In this case I used BMW Scanner 1.4.

Replaced the 02 pre cat sensor for bank 2 and when I finally got to test it, after 2 miles on the expressway, SES pop it. Used the bluetooth scanner that I keep in the X and scanned it for trouble codes.

Only code to pop up was p1093. So before throwing more parts at it I did an internet search (thanks Al Gore for creating the internet). The E46 fanatic forum has a lot more DIYers then this website and one owner finally fixed his P1093 code by replacing the ICV (Idle Control Valve).

My BM Trouble U didn't throw any codes when it was idling but the moment I got on the expressway bam SES lite up.. I have replaced an ICV on my E34 because of a rough idle but the idle on the X was rock steady. So i took out the ICV and did the check with shaking it to see if the little plunger or valve would move back in forth. Nothing na da. Brought another ICV which the valve moved freely and installed it. X started up fine and the idle is still rock steady.

Hopefully my E4/B1 Oxygen Sensor controller bank 2, deviation too great, deviation richm, EC/B2 Triming, oxygen sensor controller, bank 2 deviation too great in rich range will be fixed.
