So I finally got it done!!! :)

So I finally got the gauge rings in.

My first attempt a few weeks back was agonizing as I couldn't take apart the cluster for 3 hours so I gave up and thought I try it again some other time. Well I had a few hours of free time today so I took another shot at it and this time it was a BREEZE.

Only took 10 minutes to take apart. Now I just can't figure out why the first time was so tough.

The rings snapped right in and a big thanks to JV's DIY article.
