With so many NOOBS coming to this forum seeking advice on how to maintain their X, putting info up on the forum that can be potentially harmful should be called out immediately.

If you want to change a battery with the engine running be my guest, but as you can see that is not the proper way to replace a battery in a X.

This is the first time I've heard it suggested to replace a battery (especially in a modern vehicle) with the engine running. Just seems like a recipe for disaster.

I would caution anyone willing to try doing this...

It was perfectly fine "back in the day". Points ignition didn't care whether there was even a battery in the system, once the engine was running. It was common out in the scrub to swap a battery from a running engine into a vehicle with a flat battery to get it going, then swap it back once the other one was started. But that was before computers....

These days, even a bad jump start has the potential to fry your ECU.
