Part number for rear tailgate rubber pushbutton?
Does anyone know the BMW part number for the rear trunk hatch for the tailgate rubber release button? Mine has worn away & I would like to replace it. I searched the forums but came up with nothing. I looked on realoem but it list the whole trunk lid grip. Here's a link to the site. Does the same Tailgate Pushbutton Switch for the E60 & E46 the same as the E53? I have a 2004 model.

Pretty sure it's the #29 (51137004532) for $3.00

Just an FYI in understanding the part databases' diagrams.
If a part nbr in the illustration has a bracket (like #27)...all the nbrs attached to the bracket are included when that nbr (#27) is listed in the part nbr index (in this case all the parts on the bracket cost $113.13). But depending on the diagram...the individual nbrs attached to the bracket (like #29) can also be purchased separately...but only if listed in the part nbr index...and in this case it is (for $3): ![]()

Be aware that the discussed bit is listed for models up to year 2001. It does not fit for 2004 model, you need to get the entire bracket...which makes sense as I have a 2004 and the rubber seems to be an integral part of the plastic bracket, and not a separate item. Bummer.
