I spoke to Umnitza about the V4, they don't make them in the offset sizes needed for our E53 applications. Only V2 rings. V4's are really really nice, but at $300 for a set its getting a bit ridiculous, the V2 rings are REALLY nice as is shown in Mike's pics. I don't care for the night controller either, some might, but I don't think its worth the $40.

As well to crystalworks, the generic chinese rings shouldn't have power inverters as thats from CCFL days, they have in-line resistors and capacitors to regulate voltage. Umnitza keeps their voltage regulators enclosed in a white box which is installed in the headlight, those are usually the only things to die on the SMD LED rings.

Yeah, sorry I always include all those terms so people know what I am talking about with those little boxes. Not everyone is as familiar with how 12v stuff works. You are right they are just a voltage controller...
