Thanks everyone for the info, I'm going to debate it I don't know if I'm willing to spend 2500 for 20hp, I think I will just do the afe intake and the exhaust depending how much I can get one for and I'll think about the software tune. in going to check into how much nitrous would cost me but I don't think I'll go with it unless it's not so pricey, thanks a lot

Any suggestions on which nitrous system would be good for an 01 x5 4.4i ? Another question might be silly but if I use nitrous do I have to press a button like in the movies to use it ? Or does it just add steady horsepower all the time ? I'm a newbie to this how does it work

I like the Nitrous Express system but there are other that are also good. Usually No, you don't have to push a button, you can have it set up that way but you can also set it up to fire only at WOT. The nitrous is not an all the time power adder, it is strictly on demand. You can choose how big a shot you want 50-150 max for that engine.

You might want to call these guys out of Philly...they do modification work to BMW's....BMW Tuning, Parts, and Performance from VAC Motorsports | International Shipping

I had a friend MOD his E38 7 series...blower ECU, exhaust and a whole lot more and the car was never the same...fast but almost impossible to get the lights off after that.
