Wheel Alignment/ Coilovers
) So I wanted to know is it a problem getting an alignment afterwords, i called my tire shop 106 Tires and wheels in Queens, and they informed me that after a drop the x5 is hard to align and the camber is difficult to deal with.. idk how true this is, i would like some input on the Camber for my car after dropping on BC coils, please keep in mind id prefer to keep my wheels as straight as possible like they are now.

I believe the BC coils comes with camber plates. And you might be able to get camber bolts as well. I know some stances guys run camber bolts in both the bottom and top bolts for even more adjustment.

The only issues you'll have with alignments/camber when slammed is if your rear arms/ball joints are worn.
So if you have a ton of miles and are upgrading to coilovers I'd also do the rear ball joints and the control arms with new ones so that you can get a good alignment when done

Hi sckooby94,
I did my research on BC coilovers and decided against them. I have installed them previously in a V35 skyline and really rated them for the price. However, of the few people who I have managed to track down who have installed them in a E53 (I know of four), two of them took them back out because they were too stiff and made ride harsh and particularly choppy over bumps front to back. I will be going with the Bilstein B12 kit from Europe. In terms of alignment, your fronts should be ok, the rears are where you may run into trouble. Solutions are limited to installing off-centre bushes to trial out the -ve camber. Have found someone who does adjustable rose jointed arms but haven't been able to get any communication from him.
