Not much you can do about ice though. You all in Toronto do a good job driving in snow....I did 3 years in a turnaround in Mississauga in 2006-2009 and made some life long friends up north. I'm in the D.C. Area where we have horrible drivers, especially in the snow. Lots of people from around the world come here to live for a while, many have never seen snow except on TV. You know, drive 70 mph in snow or stop at the bottom of the hill before trying to go up

I suspect it's changed since then... last winter I would see 3-4 rear end collisions every day because people here LOVE to tailgate, even in slush, with bald all-season tires... and I had 2 incidents where the X's mighty brakes and traction kept me from hitting someone stupid enough to try to make a left turn with me already crossing the intersection. Sometimes I swear folks here are suicidal. One person tried to turn left from BEHIND a garbage truck that was waiting to turn left...

Not surprisingly, at some of the driver testing places here, for $600 you can get an automatic pass on the road test.
