Smile Brand name parts for my X

What brand name parts are the best? And what brand name parts should I stay away from? I need some engine parts and suspension parts for my 01 BMW x5 4.4i and which is the best site to order from online also serving Canada ?

List up the specific parts you need and we can give recommended manufacturers of each.

You can also check out Pelican Parts' website, they rate the manufacturer of each part they offer and it is most often accurate.

Water pump - I went with Saleri
Spark plugs - NGK
Power steering parts - OE
U-Joint for steering rack - OE
Suspension parts in general - Lemforder

What model X do you have btw? On the 3.0 gas versions, the water pump belt pulley is plastic and should be inspected for cracks at the minimum.

I use FCPEuro, good prices good shipping!
there are others but i have had good luck with them,
also, ask at your local autopart supplier (Lordco, Napa, Pep Boys, Oreilleys etc. and compare pricing. Where possible, use OEM or at least OEM equivalent parts, you pay twice for the cheap stuff, twice for the parts, and twice for the labour!
my $.02
