OP Original Poster

PO Previous Owner

Giving it to a guy in an audio shop still doesn't qualify if he knows what he is doing. I would not want a nurse to perform open heart surgery on me even though she works at a hospital.

The entertainment system in the X is a lot more complicated then an entertainment system in a FORD. The system is integrated with the X electronic system through the CAN Bus. Do you know if you have DSP? Most aftermarket system can not be integrated into a BMW X with DSP. Only one that I am aware of is the Dynavin.

Yeah, 90% of "audio shop guys" know little more than looking up Chevy Year X + Alpine Model Y = Adapter Harness Z. The X is a whole other equation for better or worse.

Good part is.. I am able to start vehicle after resting it all most 24 hours....

my second hurdle is 36 hours.. and 48 hours.. lets how this behaves tomorrow morning

update...

I got reply from tech team of Avin and he advised following

1) The settings to cold boot instead of standby
2) And also advised to upgrade firmware of the devise.

I will be doing this tomorrow..

last but not least... somehow vehicle started today.. but i can say battery is old..

Will let you know if I have anything else.

@upallnight...

After rereading I understand what are you asking for..

I have started this thread, that been said, I am OP.

And I came to conclusion since all the light indicator next to gear shift went off after 16 minutes of engine and doors lock.

And I have used manufacturer AMPlifier only and AVIN is a complete package pretty much we no need to buy additional device' beside some CORDS/cables..

do not take me wrong.. i do not know some or many short cuts.. what is DME?

good news.. is battery drain been stopped..

culprit was RADIO settings, it was set to SLEEP by default 18 hours and that is consuming power badly.

After changing settings to COLD boot then its behaving well, no issues for more than 4 days

Thanks everyone for your inputs...

So when it is in the "Sleep Mode" it is really in a standby mode, whereas in a "Cold Boot" the radio is off and anytime it is used it need to power up like a computer and go through the boot process. Are there any other options for "Sleep Mode" like 2 hours or less? So once it reach the end of the sleep mode, does it go to Cold Boot or does it just power up?

I'm surprise that "Sleep Mode" would drain a battery so quickly, but then again the BMW Navigation is also a culprit in many dead battery issues.
