Phone connection
Hey guys,
Recently joined the X5 family with a lovely 4.8is, so take it a bit easy as I'm new here. One of the first things I noticed when I sat in the car is that the steering wheel and radio unit have buttons for use with a phone. So, obviously, I started looking into how I could connect my phone. I found the settings and tried to connect my phone, but for some reason my phone didn't see the car (it's an iPhone 5). After a quick search, I found that my car has the following S644A Preparation f mobile phone w Bluetooth Is this the correct thing for what I'm trying to do? Do I need anything else for it? Or is there a possibility that something might be broken? |

Great place to start, the official thread. Start a new thread as well, like, ''NEW MEMBER PICS'' etc, etc. That usually grabs everybodies attention...

Early 04's had a Telematics/Bluetooth module that only speaks with the BMW assist.
I don't recall the exact date that 'real' bluetooth support started, but I believe it was Sept/Oct of 2004. If your build date is earlier than that, you can't pair your phone with the existing hardware.
