Exclamation Another Trans Failsafe Program Fail... Help!!!

A few weeks ago I got the dreaded Trans Failsafe message on my '03 4.4. My battery was starting to get grumpy after the X sat for a couple weeks, so I replaced it with one from autozone. The Trans Failsafe program still shows up, but only when the X reaches full operating temp. It shifts perfectly fine up until the program kicks on. It then shifts into 4th and stays there. The Trans fluid and filter were changed by the dealer when I bought the X 10k miles ago. The check engine light also came on, but no other dash lights. The codes I got were:
P0751-poor electrical connection-failed shift solenoid.
P0741-poor electrical connection-low transmission fluid level-failed TCC solenoid.
From what I've read on the outpost, I need to check if the alternator is good first. Does anyone know the procedure for getting alternator voltage on the dash?
I'm also going to try to test it with a DMM tomorrow. Does anyone have any other suggestions I should look into?

Does the red battery light light up? If no, the alternator should be working ok.

Then I guess you may have to check the transmission fluid and the control module connection. I suggest that you may use DIS to diagnose the fault code and then clear all fault code to see if it solve the problem. If not, you may have problem with the transission control module. I don't think your transmission is going bad.

That makes me feel a bit better already!! Thanx!!
Is there an easy way to check the fluid without making a mess by undoing the fill plug? Can I do it while it runs like the fluid change DIY says must be done to fill it all the way?

First check the leakage of transmission fluid, if it is leaking then you need to refill the fluid. If no leakage, you still need to remove the fill plug to refill the fluid until it spills out. After complete refilling the fluid, you must clear all the fault codes before start the car.

Further more, I used to own a 2001 4.4i E53 x5, and I encountered a problem that the transmission stayed at S mode, finally I figured out that it was the control module went bad and I bought a used one from eBay at around USD150 and install it and had it encoded, problem solved. I guess that you maybe encount the similar problem, alghough the sympton is different and I did not have warning in cluster.

So I looked under the car and didn't find any evidence of a fluid leak. I checked all the connections i could find and they seem to be in good shape. I tested the voltage at the courtesy ports under the hood and got 11 volts with the car off, 13 volts with it running. Did I end up with a bad new battery? Is it worth it to try to exchange it to see if its the problem?

You don't have to pull the battery to have it checked. Go to a local auto parts chain store and they will usually do a load test for free.

I went to the Autozone where I purchaded my battery today. They tested the battery in the car from the connections under the hood and it said bad battery. They then exchanged it. Once the new was installed I asked for them to test it again. Same bad result. The old battery out of the car tested fine. We tested for a good alternator at the battery once it was installed and it came back with good battery, low charge. It seems like there is a strange electrical gremlin in the X. Could it be a voltage regulator? Is the voltage regulator separate from the alternator? Could it be a bad battery cable?
