Pre-facelift sub box in 04?
I've been looking at buying a factory DSP sub, ripping out the speakers and putting in my sub. The boxes for the 99-03 cars look smaller, but they're about half the cost of the 04-06 ones... anyone know if the older boxes will fit the newer X's? Thanks

I don't know the answer, but just curious what sub you are going with? If I can ever get my X running right I want to upgrade my sound system soon. (Already have an Alpine PDX V9-5, Boston 6.5 Pro Components, and a JL 8W7 which I know won't fit so will probably go with something else)

I'm going to start with an 8" MB-Quart sub. It only needs .25 cu ft. I'm not looking for earth shattering bass, just a little extra on top of my current non-DSP setup.
After the sub, if I still want a little more, I might add a couple of 5-6" Midbass speakers. I'm trying not to screw with the factory system other than adding an amp with some speaker level inputs. I just don't spend that much time alone in the car any more, so I can't bring myself to spend $1,000 upgrading to an all new system.
