Shadowline Trim Issues - PICS

Hey guys, this is an issue I inherited with the car. The shadow line trim around the cargo windows appears to be deteriorating.

I was under the impression that the trim was anodized, not painted. So just wondering what I can do to a) stop the deterioration and b) patch up the damage.

Thanks in advance

If it was anodized, polishing it wouldn't touch the damage, its definitely painted. Our roof rails are anodized for reference.

Looks like you have paint actually chipping off there, so you'd either want to get a fresh piece, or take it off and have a body shop match it (probably more expensive)

Thanks RB, well
If it's painted that is somewhat good news, I can get away with touching it up for now. Can't look worse than it currently does. And keep an eye out for a replacement. Bad news is I just dropped off a bunch of stuff on Monday to get painted (4.8is rear bar and 4.6is front lip) so could have got them to do this piece while they were at it, too late now!
