Is my Hood Latch on it's way out

The last time it was a bit tight to open, but she opened up - that was about 2 months ago.

Just noticed that the handle in the grill does not sit all the way down. Sticks outward a bit.

I did grease all the points on the last time when it was tight. Thoughts. Suggestions.

Did you look at the Bowden cables and latches for any signs of rust or corrosion?

Just popeed the hood, and it just needed a (reseat). Handle appears to be back in normal position. Maybe between the last time I had the hood up , the creep grease I used just lubed this back up and the re-closing was all it needed after the grease had worked it's way in...
